In the traditional method, hoppers (appam) is made using toddy. Now as toddy is not easily available it is substituted with yeast. This home made toddy can be substitued for yeast.
1) After 24 hours this coconut water cannot be used for hoppers.

1) Add sugar to coconut water & keep for 24 hours in fridge. Then use this while grinding hopper batter.
After 24 hours this will become sour, then will not be suitable for hoppers.
Used for grinding hoppers.
