Description

When using wheat flour sieve once or twice to give lightness to cookies.

Note

1) I have used rolled oats and not quick cooking oats. Rolled oats are healthier than quick cooking oats.

100  Gms.Butter (unsalted)
0.5  CupBrown sugar
0.25  CupSugar
1  No.Egg
1.25  CupWheat flour
0.75  CupOats
0.25  Tsp.Salt
0.5  Tsp.Baking soda
0.5  CupCoconut, grated
0.5  Tsp.Vanilla extract

Method

1) Beat together butter , brown sugar & white sugar till creamy.
2) Add to the creamed mixture, egg and vanilla & continue beating .
3) Combine wheat flour, oats salt aaaaand baking soda. Sieve once or twice.
4) Add dry ingredients, after sieving, to the butter mix along with coconut. Mix gently.
5) Pre heat oven at 180 degree C 10 minutes before baking.
6) If the dough is too dry add in little milk.
7) Take 1 tbsp. of dought roll and flatten lightly and keep on a greased baking tray.
8) Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 to 22 minutes. Start checking after 18 minutes. When done cookies will turn light brown in color.
9) Remove from oven and let it cool for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove to a wire rack to cool.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with tea, milk or coffee.
