Self saucing chocolate pudding has 2 different layers, the chocoltely sauce and a cake on top.

1. Pre heat oven at 175 degree C for10 minutes before you bake.
2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
3 Sieve all the ingredients, except milk and butter, given under cake.
4. Now mix butter & milk. Whisk gently without lumps. Add this to the flour mixture. Add vanilla too.Fold in gently.
5. Pour this into the prepared baking dish.
6. Now mix the sauce ingredients, except boiling water. Add this on top of cake mix.
7. Pour the boiling hot water gently over the cake batter.
8. Bake in a pre heated oven at 175 degree C for 20 to 25 minutes. Start checking after 18 minutes.
9. To check if the pudding is done, with a spoon, scoop out the solid part and check. Since the pudding is saucy, a skewer test won't give a correct answer
Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream.
