Note

1) Water for activating yeast should be only warm. Hot water will kill yeast.
2) Brushing the top of buns with butter will make the crust soft.
3) Keeping the buns covered in damp cloth will help to retain the softness.

2  Tbsp.Butter,melted
0.5  Tsp.Salt
3  WafflesOil (flavorless)
3  Tbsp.Milk
3  Tbsp.Butter for brushing
Wet ingredients
0.5  CupWarm water
0.75  Tsp.Active dry yeast
1  Tbsp.Sugar

Method

1) Grease an 8 inch round cake tin.
2) Mix flour, salt and milk powder together.
3) Add in melted butter. Mix till well incorporated.
4) To warm water, add sugar and yeast. Let sit till yeast mix turns frothy.
5) After it turns frothy, pour this into flour mix and knead well.
6) Once it comes to form a soft dough, transfer the dough to a floured work surface and keep kneading for about 8 to 10 minutes till dough is soft and smooth.
7) Now transfer the dough to an oiled bowl. Oil the dough as well.
8) Cover and let the dough rest in a warm place for about 1.5 to 2 hours, till the dough doubles in size.
9) Take the risen dough and knead again.
10) Make small balls out of dough, roll smoothly, and keep it in the greased tin. Arrange the keep the dough balls neatly, keeping one ball in the middle.
11) Cover and keep in a warm place for the second rising for about 1 hour.
12) After it has doubled, preheat oven to 180 degree C.
13) Brush the top of the buns with milk.
14) Bake for about 35 minutes. Start checking from 30 minutes. the top of the buns should be nice golden brown.
15) Remove from oven, brush with butter. let it rest in the tin for 10 minutes.
16) Remove from tin and wrap with a slightly damp cloth till it cools down.

Serve with jam, preserve or butter.
