Description

This dip or sauce is served with appam (hoppers) & idiappam (string hoppers). This is a delight for people with sweet tooth.

Ayurvedic Note

1) Good for vata people as it reduces vata.
2) Helps to increase strength.
3) Helps in weight gain.
4) Gives normal bowel movement. Usually vata people suffer from constipation.
5) Gives satisfaction.

Note

1) Mix coconut milk while cooking.

0.25  CupJaggery grated / powdered
0.5  CupCoconut milk (2nd extract)
0.5  CupCoconut milk, 1st extract
2  Tbsp.Water
1  No.Cardamom powder
1  PinchDry ginger powder
0.5  PinchSalt

Method

1) Melt jaggery with water. Strain for impurities.
2) Boil jaggery syrup with 2nd extract coconut milk, cardamom, salt and jaggery. Let it boil for about 5 minutes on low flame, stirring all the while. Add dry ginger powder. Switch off flame.
3) Remove and add 1st extract coconut milk. Mix well.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hoppers dunked in this coconut milk.
