Tamarind pulp is used in a lot of dishes in the Indian sub continent. Pulp made and kept in the fridge will make the work easier.
1) If you need a thicker pulp, after boiling, blend in a blender after removing fibre and seed from tamarind.
1) Wash tamarind and boil with water. If using a pressure cooker, boil for 3 whistles. If boiling in a vessel, after first boil, reduce and simmer for 25 minutes.
2) Strain and store in an airtight glass bottle in fridge.
Use as required in recipes.
