Description

Gothambu dosa is an easy and healthy breakfast. This needs no fermentation and not much preparation.

Note

1) There should not be any lumps in the batter.
2) The pan should be just hot, neither very hot nor cold. If it's too hot batter will not spread.
3) If the pan is too hot sprinkle a little water and after water dries up, pour batter.
4) Some people add an egg to batter. It is purely optional.

GOTHAMBU DOSA (WHEAT FLOUR CREPES)
1  CupWheat flour
1.5  CupWater (approximate)
  Salt to taste
1  Tbsp.Ghee (optional)

Method

1) Add salt and water, little by little to the flour. Mix well, preferably wit a wire whisk to remove all lumps.
2) Heat a non stick pan or an iron pan. If using an iron pan, rub with oil.
3) Pour about 1/4 cup of batter to the centre of pan and with the ladle spread quickly to form a circle.
4) When cooked, apply little ghee and may turn and cook the other side. It is not mandatory to turn and cook the other side.
5) With a spatula remove dosa from pan.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with any chutney.
