Description

Birista is deep fried onions that can be used in many dishes, specially biryanis. This can be deep fried and refrigerated in an airtight container for about a month.

Note

1) Fry onions in small batches. If you put too much of onion in one go,temperaturev of oil will come down and onions will be soggy.
2) Remember that onions will continue to fry even after taking from oil. So keep that in mind while taking out onions from oil. Do not wait for onions to be well browned before removing.

1  Tbsp.Salt
500  Ml.Oil for frying

Method

1) Slice onions thinly & evenly.
2) Add salt to the onions, mix well and keep aside in a perforated bowl for about 10 minutes.
3) Squeeze ot all the moisture from onions.
4) Heat oil & fry onions in batches. Remove fried onions to a paper towel.
