This dish is an easy on the go meal. Usually can be had without chutney or sambar.
1) Chutney powder can be substituted with chilli powder.
2) Ideally an iron pan will give delicious dosas.
3) Rubbing the cut side of an onion on an iron pan, will prevent dosas from sticking onto pan.

1) Heat a dosa pan.
2) Add salt to taste to the batter.
3) Lightly smear ghee or oil on the tawa. If the dosa tawa/ pan is non stick, this step can be omitted.
4) Beat egg & add salt to taste.
5) When dosa is half cooked, pour beaten egg on dosa and spread with a light hand.
6) Add chopped onion, green chillies, chutney powder & pepper powder on dosa. Let dosa cook.
7) When dosa is almost cooked, add ghee on top of dosa.
8) When dosa is cooked and brown on bottom, remove from fire.
Serve hot.
