Description

This is a sweet and sour salad with refreshing flavors.
Mustard is used as a dressing in salads and also in sandwiches etc in a paste form in Continental cusine. Dijon mustard is made with black or yellow mustards or a combination of both and also verjuice (juice from unripe grapes or crab apple or any sour fruit), wine or vinegar.

Note

1) Dijon mustard is available in supermarkets.

Dressing
2  Tbsp.Olive oil
1  Tbsp.Honey
2  Tbsp.Lime juice
  As RequiredSalt to taste
2  Tsp.Pepper powder
2  Tsp.Dijon mustard

Method

1) Shred both cabbages thinly. Keep aside.
2) Peel and cut radish into juliennes.
3) Peel and cut apples into matchstick pieces. Add a spoon of lime juice to it and keep aside. Lime juice is added to prevent discoloration.
4) mix all the dressing ingredients together in a bottle and shake vigorously to let oil mix well with all the other ingredients. Or whisk all the ingredients together.
5) add dressing to vegetables only just before serving.
6) Chill before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled as an accompaniment with meat dishes.
