3  Tbsp.Oil
  Salt to taste
1  CupOnion chopped finely

Method

1) Wash and squeeze out water from mince.
2) Grind mince with peppercorns, ginger, garlic and green chillies, till a fairly smooth texture is obtained. Dont make into a paste. Add salt to taste and turmeric powder.
3) Make about 12 balls (koftas). Roll them in wholewheat flour. Keep aside.
4) Grind all the masala ingredients to a fine paste.
5) In a pan, heat oil. fry onion till brown.
6) Then add ground masala and fry on low fire till oil sepersates. The masala should be fried well, adding a splash of water, if necessary to prevent from burning. When fried well, add enough water to make a gravy. Add salt and bring to a boil.
7) When curry bubbles well, drop one kofta at a time slowly, until all the koftas are over. Cook till koftas are done without stirring for some time. or the koftas will break. adjust seasoning.
