Batata poha is popular in Maharashtra. Batata means potato and poha is beaten rice in Marathi . This dish is served for breakfat, brunch or as a snack with tea. It is rather a simple dish which can be done within a few minutes.
1) Here i have used thin variety of beaten rice.
2) Do not let the beaten rice dry while cooking. If necessary sprinkle a few drops of water to prevent from drying.

1) Wash beaten ricea by holding it under running water in a sieve for a few seconds.
2) Drain out all excess water. Heat oil & crackle mustard and cumin. 3) Then add onion, green chillies, raisins, cashews & peanuts.
4) Let onions fry to a golden brown.
5) Add turmeric, asafoetida, salt, sugar, potato & green peas. Stir till everything mixes well.
6) Now add poha and mix well. Keep on a low flame with lid & let it steam for 5 to 8 minutes.
7) Remove from heat and add corriander leaves and lime juice. Mix well and serve.
Serve with lime wedges.
