Description

Rasayan, a Sanskrit word literally means juice (rasa) Path (ayana) . In ancient times this rasayana was considered as Elixir vitae, or the mythical potion, or drink, that gives the drinker eternal life and/or eternal youth.

Ayurvedic Note

1) Fruits give satisfaction.
2) Generally most of the fruits increases kapha.
3) Fruits quenches both thirst and hunger.
4) Fruits(phala) rasayana nourishes all the 7 dhatus.
5) Good for pregnant and lactating women.
6) Honey helps in proper digestion of the rasayana (as honey is 'kadu vipaka' and 'ushna virya').
7) Helps in proper bowel movements.
8) Not good for diabetics.

Note

1) Use any small variety of banana which is soft.
2) Any fruits, dry fruits and nuts can be used. Chop fruits only just before serving.

Method

1) Grind banana with little coconut milk, to a fine paste.
2) Mix this with all the other ingredients and serve chilled.
