Description

Hot buttered rum is a mixed drink containing rum, butter, hot water , a sweetener, and various spices (usually cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves). It is especially popular in the winter and is traditionally associated with the holiday season.

Note

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH.

1) It is good if you can use brown or demererra sugar.
2) You can also caramelize your Hot Buttered Rum by Red hot poker mixing. For this take a clean, thick metal rod and let it sit in the (campfire) or fire until it is red hot. Dont touch the rod with bare hands. Shake off any ashes (from firewood). Dip the red hot rod into the drink. The alcohol will catch fire.Be careful not to touch the rod to the bottom or sides of the glass or glass will shatter.

Method

1) Mix sugar, butter, rum and cloves in a mug. 2) Fill with boiling water.
