Easy light dessert to be served specially on a summer day.
1) If plums are sour, increase the amount of sugar.

| 2 Sticks | Cinnamon | |
| 1 No. | Vanilla pod, split & seeds scraped from the middle | |
| 1 No. | Star anise | |
| 1 Tsp. | Butter (saltless) | |
1) Cut the plums into quarters and remove the stones.
2) Add the caster sugar into a pan with water, star anise, cinnamon sticks and vanilla. Gently heat until the sugar dissolves.
3) Slide the plums into the syrup. Bring to a boil, then let it simmer for five to 10 minutes, depending on the ripeness, until the plums are soft.
4) Leave to cool slightly and serve with ice-cream.
Serve with whipped cream or ice-cream.
