Sour cream is a dairy product obtained by fermenting a regular cream with certain kinds of lactic acid bacteria. The bacterial culture sours and thickens the cream. The taste of sour cream is only mildly sour.Sour cream is used as dip, in salads & in preparations like tacos & burritos.
1) You can use thick set curd available in super markets or use hung curd.
2) The more the fat content in cream, the creamier the sour cream will be. I used milky mist which has about 38 % fat.

200 Gm.s | Fresh cream, chilled |
4 Tbsp. | Thick curd |
1.5 Tsp. | Lemon juice |
1) Chill cream.
2) Beat chilled cream with lemon juice until it turns thcik and can stand in soft peaks.
3) Whip curd & add to cream. Gently mix. Keep in the refrigerator till serving time.
Chill sour cream for sometime before serving with any dish.
