Description

Cachumbar is a simple Indian salad with minimal ingredients. It is usually served with all meals. Cachumbar provides a cool relief of the hot and spicy curries.
Black salt is pinkish in colour. This salt is infused with sulfurous herbs and spices and has a distinct flavor and smell due to the presence of sulphur. It is available in shops in powdered form and is known as kala namak.

Note

1) Since black salt is added, be careful while adding salt.
2) Salad dressing should be added to salads only just before serving. Or the salad will turn watery.

  Servings 

Method

1) In a serving bowl combine all the vegetables together and mix thoroughly.
2) Add black salt and lime juice just before serving.
3) Refrigerate if desired.

Serve chilled.
