Description

Coleslaw is a salad consisting mainly of finely-shredded raw cabbage. There are many variations of this recipe. Coleslaw is generally eaten as an accompaniment. Coleslaw with cooked ham and julienned bell pepper is made in in Italy and is called "Insalata Capricciosa". Cream, sour cream, or buttermilk are also used instead of mayonnaise.

Note

1. Add salt only just before serving and also only if necessary.
2. Mayonnaise contains raw egg yolk. Not recommended for pregnant women and infants.
