Description

Traditionally eggs benedict is made using English muffin buns.A muffin or English muffin is a small, round, flat (or thin) type of yeast bread, which is served split horizontally, toasted, and buttered. Muffins are eaten either as a snack alone or as part of a meal.Most of the ingredients only take a few minutes to prepare but it will take a bit of skill and expertise. It is best to prepare the Hollandaise sauce earlier, as this can easily be heated up and stirred quickly when needed.

Note

If using bread slices take four slices and cut into roundels using biscuit cutter.

Method

To make poached eggs:-
1) Boil about 1 litre water with1tsp. vinegar & a pinch of salt.
2) When water starts simmering (bubbles appearing at the edges), not boiling, break an egg into a small bowl & add to simmering water.
3) Do likewise with the rest of the eggs. Do it one after another.
4) Take cooked eggs out with a slotted spoon after about 4to 5 minutes. If you do not want a runny yolk, cook for another 2 or 3 minutes. keep warm.
To make Hollandaise sauce:-
1) Take 2 egg yolks in a bowl.
2) Add 1 tsp. white vinegar & a pinch of salt. If you want it to be spicy, add a pinch of chilli powder.
2)Take toasted English muffins or bread roundels. Apply butter on cut muffins/bread toasts.
3) Grill salami / bacon /ham. Place salami / bacon / ham slices on muffins.
4) Then place a poached egg over each salami/bacon/ ham slices.
5) Spoon some warm hollandaise sauce over it.

Serving Suggestions

Serve warm.
