This is an ideal cocktail snack or a starter.Chicken liver on toast is an Indian version of Chicken liver horsd'oeuvres. This dish was introduced to the Indians by the English when they ruled India.
1) Do not overcook liver.

1) Saute onions till transparent and then add chicken livers and saute till they change colour.
2) Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for another minute.
3) Now add chilli,corriander and garam masala powders and saute for a minute. Add tomatoes and continue sauteeing for another 5 mts. Keep the lid and continue cooking for another 8 to 10 mts.,till the livers are cooked. The gravy should be of very thick consistency.
4) Add salt, pepper and corriander leaves. Cut edges of bread slices.
5) Spread this liver mix while warm on buttered toasts and serve warm.
Serve warm.
